The service now requires IDs and selfies As we’ve seen, Starlink has uploaded a new support page, detailing the identification documents you’ll need if you want to move it to another country or region. As it explains, the documents required will be required for any Starlink user outside the country or region where you originally registered your account.
This is a new identification process that the service is starting to implement, with many comments already online saying that they saw a pop-up window asking for this information. How do I register my Starlink for international travel? Additional information is required to use Starlink outside of your registered country or region of residence. If you don’t complete the international travel registration, the service will be disabled while you’re abroad.
How to complete registration:
Go to My Account
Go to Settings Scroll down to Registration Requirements
Click on “Add Travel Plans” and select Global
Complete the form and submit your details
What information is required to complete a travel registration?
To complete a travel registration, the following information is required:
Full name
Nationality
Date of birth
Passport number
Copy of passport
Real-time portrait
For Premium Business accounts:
Registration number
Copy of registration document
Additional information may be required for other travel registrations, depending on local regulations. When do I need to complete my travel registration? All accounts on all service plans must complete the registration for Starlink to use on international trips.

If you do not complete the registration, the service will be disabled in any country or region where the registration for use on trips has not been completed. All of this indicates that Starlink will begin to request more and more identification information, especially in countries where it is required by law.
Essentially, at any time the service can ask you for additional identification information, even here in Greece, while it is noted that the account will be blocked if you do not provide it. Right now in our country anyone can create a new account and simply state their name and order Starlink without having asked us for additional identification information.
