UGREEN Introduces a Liquid-Cooled Power Bank: MagFlow Pro Brings Active Cooling to Wireless Charging

Power banks have traditionally competed on battery capacity, charging speed and portability. UGREEN is now adding something very different to the equation: liquid cooling.

The company unveiled its MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank at IFA 2026 in Berlin, introducing a 10,000mAh portable battery that uses a miniature liquid-cooling system to manage heat during high-speed wireless charging.

Why does a power bank need liquid cooling?

The basic problem is heat.

Higher-power wireless charging generates more heat than older, slower charging standards. Once temperatures rise too far, charging systems can reduce power to protect the battery and other components.

UGREEN’s answer is CryoPulse, a cooling system built around a micro-pump that circulates coolant through thermal channels inside the power bank.

The system works alongside copper heat-spreading material and a separated internal architecture designed to reduce heat accumulation.

A transparent window lets users see the coolant

One of the strangest design elements is UGREEN’s Cyber Window.

The transparent section allows users to see the cooling liquid moving inside the device.

It is partly a visual feature, but it also makes the technology unusually visible for a consumer charging accessory.

UGREEN says its system can reduce peak core temperatures by up to 10°C compared with a 48°C industry reference, based on the company’s own testing. Those figures should be treated as manufacturer claims rather than independent test results.

Up to 25W wireless charging

The MagFlow Pro supports Qi2.2 wireless charging at up to 25W.

UGREEN says the device can charge an iPhone 17 Pro Max to 50% in around 40 minutes under its stated test conditions. The power bank has a 10,000mAh capacity and weighs approximately 230 grams, according to UGREEN’s published specifications.

That puts it firmly into the category of serious portable chargers rather than small emergency batteries.

Built-in USB-C cable and 45W output

The MagFlow Pro also includes a built-in USB-C cable.

It supports up to 45W wired output, and UGREEN says the integrated cable has been tested for more than 10,000 bends.

The cable also doubles as a carrying strap, eliminating the need to carry a separate charging cable.

The power bank can charge multiple devices at the same time using wireless and USB-C connections, although total output is capped at 45W.

A built-in display shows charging information

UGREEN has also added a digital display.

Users can see the battery level and charging information directly on the power bank without opening an app.

The magnetic system uses 17 N52H magnets, with UGREEN claiming 8N of gripping force.

That matters because the power bank needs to remain firmly attached to a phone while charging wirelessly.

Safety remains a key issue

Active cooling does not eliminate the challenges associated with lithium-ion batteries.

The MagFlow Pro uses ATL high-density cells and UGREEN’s Dymondcell 2.0 protection technology, alongside multiple layers of safety management.

UGREEN says the system is designed to manage high temperatures, overcharging and other potentially dangerous conditions. It also claims the cells retain more than 80% capacity after 800 cycles, although that is again a manufacturer specification.

Real-world results will depend on ambient temperature, connected devices and charging conditions.

The price reflects the unusual technology

Liquid cooling does not come cheaply.

UGREEN’s European store currently lists the MagFlow Pro at €129.99, while the US price is listed at $149.99.

That is considerably more than many conventional 10,000mAh power banks.

For users who mostly rely on slower wireless charging, the premium may be difficult to justify. But for people who regularly use 25W wireless charging and want to reduce thermal throttling during demanding charging sessions, the technology is considerably more interesting.

UGREEN is building a broader cooling strategy

The MagFlow Pro is not the only product using the company’s new thermal approach.

UGREEN also introduced the MagFlow Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand, which can charge an iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods simultaneously.

The stand uses active thermal management combining a thermoelectric module and a fan rated below 15dB. UGREEN says its magnetic charging surface reached around 11°C in its own testing when cooling was enabled.

That suggests UGREEN sees active cooling as a broader solution for higher-power Qi2 charging rather than a one-off experiment.

Could liquid cooling become normal in power banks?

It is too early to say.

The underlying problem is real: higher wireless charging power creates additional heat, and thermal management becomes increasingly important as charging speeds increase. If UGREEN’s approach performs as claimed in independent testing, active cooling could help maintain charging performance during longer high-power sessions.

But there is still an important distinction between an interesting engineering solution and a proven consumer advantage. For now, the MagFlow Pro is one of the most unusual charging products introduced at IFA 2026 — and one of the technically most ambitious power banks of the year. Independent testing will ultimately determine whether liquid cooling delivers a meaningful advantage or simply adds complexity to a device that traditionally did not need it.
