Google has announced a wide range of upgrades for its Gemini assistant today. To start, the new Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking Experimental model now allows file upload as an input, alongside getting a speed boost. The more notable update, however, is a new opt-in feature called Personalization. In a nutshell, when you put a query before Gemini, it takes a peek at your Google Search history and offers a tailored response. Down the road, Personalization will expand beyond Search. Bluesky, the upstart social media platform that aims to take on X, finally has its own Instagram rival. Named Flashes, the app was first introduced in January and aims to recapture the core photo-sharing experience of Instagram in its early days. Now, it’s live on the App Store. The brainchild of Sebastian Vogelsang, an independent developer, the Flashes app is built atop the same AT Protocol as Bluesky. Vogelsang also created Skeets, a third-party Bluesky client built specifically for iPhone, iPads, and macOS. The biggest benefit of AT Protocol is that it’s an open ecosystem without any platform lock-in strategy.…
The moon has a brand new visitor, as Firefly Aerospace has made history by becoming the first private company to ever make a fully successful landing on the moon. The Blue Ghost lander touched down on the moon’s surface at 3:34 a.m. ET on Sunday, March 2, coming in for a soft landing and touching down safely and upright with its payload of science experiments and technology tests on board. With the crater-pocked surface of the moon providing a challenge for landing, the “frankly terrifying” landing process was performed autonomously, with the lander adjusting its trajectory and selecting a safe…

After introducing the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra last year, Samsung is now gearing up to launch the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+. Earlier this morning, the first images of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ leaked onto the web — and these aren’t just run-of-the-mill renders, either. And it’s more than just flagship size, too — it also copies the style. The renders show a tablet with symmetrical bezels and a flat-edged frame. There’s only a single camera on the rear of the device, but that’s not surprising; the rest of the Galaxy Tab S10 series also bears…
Samsung will officially make a return to the realm of ultra-slim phones in the coming months with the Galaxy S25 Edge. So far, the company has only given us a distant glimpse of the upcoming phone, but has remained mum on its innards or market arrival timeline. Well, an apparently working unit of the Galaxy S25 Edge briefly appeared in a leaked video this week, parading its svelte profile from all sides. In the short clip, the phone is compared against the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and we also get a look at its supposed innards via the AIDA64 app…
Social media giants Meta and X approved ads targeting users in Germany with violent anti-Muslim and anti-Jew hate speech in the run-up to the country’s federal elections, according to new research from Eko, a corporate responsibility nonprofit campaign group. The group’s researchers tested whether the two platforms’ ad review systems would approve or reject submissions for ads containing hateful and violent messaging targeting minorities ahead of an election where immigration has taken center stage in mainstream political discourse — including ads containing anti-Muslim slurs; calls for immigrants to be imprisoned in concentration camps or to be gassed; and AI-generated imagery…
