Look, I get it. Charging cables aren’t exactly the sexiest product in the tech world and I’d forgive you for rolling your eyes – but OnePlus has introduced a new cable at a price point which makes it way more accessible than rivals. But this 1.2m cable has a bonus feature; a built-in POGO pin connector part way along the distinctive red cord. Why? So you…

Hackers are targeting a previously reported bug in the Signal clone app TeleMessage in an effort to steal users’ private data, according to security researchers and a U.S. government agency. TeleMessage, which earlier this year was revealed to be used by high-ranking officials in the Trump administration, already experienced at least one data breach in May. The company markets modified versions of Signal, WhatsApp, and Telegram for corporations and government agencies that need to archive chats for legal and compliance reasons.  On Thursday, GreyNoise, a cybersecurity firm with visibility into what hackers are doing on the internet thanks to its…

Now those initial alpha tests have gone live with a few streamers, according to findings from market intelligence provider Appsensa. In a recent build, the firm found references to the vertical video tests and information about what sort of features these new streams would offer. The feature, once fully rolled out, would make Twitch more competitive with other popular vertical video services like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Ten Years of TwitchCon: Here’s…

Google is celebrating 10 years of Google Photos with the launch of a redesigned editor. AI video you can both watch and interact with in real-time. Odyssey, a startup founded by self-driving pioneers Oliver Cameron and Jeff Hawke, has developed an AI model that lets users “interact” with streaming video. Available on the web in an “early demo,” the model generates and streams video frames every 40 milliseconds. Via basic controls, viewers can explore areas within a video, similar to a 3D-rendered video game. “Given the current state of the world, an incoming action, and a history of states and actions, the model attempts to predict the next state of the world,” explains Odyssey in…
