The app is designed to make it easier for iPhone users to switch to an Android-based device, such as the Google Pixel. It can transfer contacts, calendar events, photos, and videos, and includes reminders to disable iMessage to switch to RCS/SMS.
The tech giant also changed some of the wording on the Switch to Android website to reflect the app’s new name. The Switch to Android website describes some of the common concerns that iPhone users may have about switching platforms, such as sending text messages, sharing files, making video calls, etc.
With RCS, Google says that Android users can message iPhone users without issues, and the company suggests Google Meet as an alternative to FaceTime. Although there is no direct equivalent to AirDrop on Android, Google says that Quick Share can be used to share files with Android, ChromeOS, and Windows devices.

Apart from the design updates and the new look of the app, the core functionality of the Android Switch app seems to be the same as before.
