Nomad’s back with another glow-in-the-dark Apple Watch band, and just as with previous versions, it’s a limited edition, so if you want one, you’d better be quick.
Why? They’ve proven so popular in the past that they’ve quickly sold out. The latest model is cooler than the last two versions and that’s meant in the most real sense of the word, as it’s called the Glow in the Dark Icy Blue Sport Band.
During the day, Nomad’s sport band takes on a pale blue, almost white shade, but when the lights go down, it transforms into a chilled, yet striking blue color. The band uses photoluminescence to collect its light and glow once the source disappears, but the effect has been enhanced to the point where Nomad claims it’s three times brighter than the original Glow Sport Band.
Just like the Glow 2.0 band, which had a pale green color during the day and a bright neon green at night, the Icy Blue band is fully waterproof and available in two different sizes, so it’s suitable for the 49mm/45mm or the 41mm/40mm Apple Watch.
It uses an aluminum pin to secure the band in place, with the excess material tucking underneath it, similar to Apple’s normal Sport Band.
Last time the brand’s glow in the dark Apple Watch band popped back up in the traditional greenish color, it sold out almost immediately, so you might want to consider getting in as soon as possible if you’re interested in the new pale blue treatment of the Nomad Glow in the Dark Icy Blue Apple Watch Sport Band.
New Limited Edition Nomad Glow in the Dark Icy Blue Apple Watch Sport Band
The new Glow in the Dark Blue Sport Band is a fresh icy twist on the brand’s best-selling Glow 2.0.
It is essentially a new colorway of the Nomad Sport Band, just with the brand’s glowing photoluminescence treatment – it sort of charges up in bright conditions or under traditional lighting and then lights up when it gets dark. After getting a chance to go hands-on after it arrived at the office yesterday, I can confidently say it works, just like the Glow 2.0 did. It starts as a sort of pale blue and transitions to the much more vivid vibrant blue you see in the imagery here.

The band is made of a FKM fluoroelastomer rubber that is 100% waterproof and once again includes the interior ventilation channels to allow some air flow between it and your wrist while maintaining a snug fit by way of the custom aluminum closure pin. It is compatible with Apple Watch Ultra 2 as well as Series models – 49mm/45mm and 41mm/40mm sizes.
The new Nomad Glow in the Dark Icy Blue Apple Watch Sport Band is now available for purchase at $60, but it likely won’t last long.
Glow is back—brighter and better than ever. This time, it’s Icy Blue: a fresh twist on our best-selling Glow 2.0. By day, it’s a pale blue-white Sport Band, and by night it delivers a bold blue glow, harnessing the magic of photoluminescence. Perfect for night jogs, low-light adventures, or just kicking back on the couch. Icy Blue Sport Band is designed to move with you—day or night.

Unfortunately, this time around, Nomad has not announced a glow-in-the-dark iPhone case to go with the Apple Watch band, which may disappoint some who want matching accessories. How much will the band cost? It’s yours for $60, and there are only limited numbers available, with Nomad saying it expects the band to sell out quickly. Considering each previous model has done so, this is more than bluster on its part.
If you do miss out, there are a lot of other excellent Apple Watch bands available, and we’ve also been really impressed with the combination of Apple’s own Milanese Loop band with our titanium Apple Watch Series 10 if you’re hankering for a new band for your Apple Watch. Sadly, none of them glow in the dark.
While I personally I am not particularly enamored by a glow in the dark anything really, I actually can appreciate the ice blue vibes on this one in the day light. It presents almost like a slightly blued white treatment or extremely light grey in some day light conditions.
And if you are into the glowing vibes, its photoluminescence is actually quite powerful – it lights up like a Lightsaber in the dark . A full review is inbound shortly, but if you like what you see here, you likely won’t be disappointed. Nomad makes great bands and this is another one.
