PlayStation Plus is ending 2024 with a bang, adding a meaty batch of compelling PS4 and PS5 games to its PS Plus Premium and Extra catalogs just before the holiday break. Having sold their previous cloud-native storage startup, Portworx, to PureStorage for $370 million, the pair was well-versed in the IT challenges faced by today’s enterprises. “It’s very hard to find good site reliability engineers. There’s a lot of churn,” Rao, NeuBird’s CEO, told The Tech Spot. “It doesn’t help that the modern IT stack just keeps getting more and more complex. Humans alone cannot possibly keep up with this kind of change.” To deal with that increased complexity, NeuBird built…

In a press briefing on Wednesday, the Pentagon said it has no evidence that the mysterious drones that have been flying over New Jersey and other parts of the northeast U.S. in recent weeks were coming from a foreign entity, nor were they U.S. military drones. The comments come a day after a U.S. Congressional hearing focused on the increasing drone activity, where several Capital Hill lawmakers expressed frustration with the lack of information and response to the drone incursions. The FBI told lawmakers during Tuesday’s hearing that it’s working with state and local authorities to investigate the situation and…

Green ammonia startup Amogy has raised $11.2 million of a targeted $90 million round, an SEC filing reveals. The new round’s target is significantly smaller than its last round — a $139 million Series B-1 that was announced in March 2023 — highlighting the challenges that middle-stage climate startups face today when trying to attract investment. Amogy did not immediately reply to questions about the funding round. The company is focused on various transportation markets, including maritime shipping, long-haul trucking, and agriculture. Earlier this year, Amogy tested its ammonia-to-power technology in a retrofitted tugboat, and it previously tested it in…
